Quinebaug Valley Veterinary Hospital — Establishment and veterinary care at 616 Wauregan Road, Danielson, Killingly, Connecticut.

I have no problem with the vets here but it's becoming very difficult to get an appointment because when you call the staff they try to diagnose your problem instead of getting a professionals opinion. A couple months ago my cat had a urinary infection. She wasn't going in the litter box at all I called the staff and they said we need a sample. I even showed them a picture of the crystals from when she peed on one of my blankets.....still need a sample..... Which is very difficult to do when she is not going in the litter box so the beads they gave me for the litter box were no help. My cat needed antibiotics and they wouldn't make an appointment without a sample. So I called another vet in the area litterally in tears telling them my situation...they took my cat in and gave her antibiotics and has been fine since. There have been other times when I'm concerned about my pets and they will just tell you something to try. Also, I turned to emailing them because when you call you just get an automated system which usually ends up in voicemail so if you ever have an emergency this could be a problem. And they tend to not get back to you until later in the day. I have moved to another vet office, the one that took my cat in right away, .....I absolutely love the vets at Quinnebaug Valley, but I think too much clientele was taken on.
